Though a myriad of tests and certain other events [read: I had to wipe my C: drive] have gotten us a bit sidetracked, we’re still making progress on colonies. So far we have code which defines an area around a building which compromises its sphere of influence.
If a newly placed building intersects that sphere, it’s added to it.
We’re also working on the GUI system for interacting with colonies. Here’s the first element we’ve added:
It’s a slider that controls the efficiency of a building. The final screen will have a slider for each building member of the colony, allowing you to tune the colony’s production efficiency toward specific outputs or services.
